Food is available at SnowCap's shopping style pantry. SnowCap is located behind the Rockwood United Methodist Church at 17805 SE Stark.
You need to bring proof of address (POA) that is dated within the last 30 days. Usually, this is a utility bill or other postmarked mail received by the person at the address they list on their application. Please bring your own bags or boxes.
SnowCap serves people who live east of 82nd and within Multnomah County so POA is required for every visit. Click here to see a MAP and directions to SnowCap..
Clothes for the Whole Family
We have a small clothes closet of donated clothes for the whole family. Blankets are sometimes available in the winter.
Mobile Food Pantry
SnowCap brings food to low income schools and apartment complexes to reach children whose families are unable to get to our shopping style pantry. These food boxes are convenient, but not nearly as good as shopping for your own food at the pantry.
Community Basket, a type of gleaning program, distributes boxes on the 2nd Thursday of each month at SnowCap. 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Members receive a variety of foods, cleaning products, paper products, and a newsletter listing other savings opportunities in our area. If you would like to join this program bring photo ID and bags/boxes to carry your items home in.
Back to School
SnowCap works with local schools to provide school supplies. School clothes are available from the clothes closet.
Low income families can raise their own vegetables in raised beds full of good planting mix. Water, greenhouse space and gardening classes are provided. Gardeners give back by giving 10% of their harvest to the pantry.
