Volunteer Opportunities

Fridays 12-2 PM

Back Stocker needed in the pantry. This person keeps the freezer and cooler filled. They rotate the bread racks and fill the client choice shelves. Lots of work, but you would be joining a friendly crew.

Fridays 10-2 PM

Pantry Worker needed top off the boxes with fresh items, call in clients and get signatures. This is a key, customer service, position that gets a chance to practice compassion in action.

Fridays 10-2PM

Data Entry Person. Many of our volunteers joined SnowCap before computers were common. They have great person to person skills, but have never got the hang of the computer. We need someone who can specialize in this technical area on Fridays.

Thursdays 10-2 PM

Interviewer, should be comfortable talking with a wide variety of people, retail experience would be a plus. Computer skills are also necessary. Interviewers are a vital link in the chain of service. They listen to the client’s request, assess it, perform the necessary computer and paperwork tasks necessary to respond to the client’s request.

Last Tuesday of each Month 2-5 PM

Food 2 You Worker needed to prepare food bags and paper work for the drivers who will deliver this food to low income seniors throughout our community.

Tuesdays for 2 hours anytime between 9 and 3

Garden Helper needed to water, weed, harvest and package food for the pantry. Should know a weed from a vegetable plant. We can train for the rest.
