Food Assistance

SnowCap's Food Pantry is OPEN and Ready to Serve! 
  • New to SnowCap? Click here and fill out a General application or call 503-674-8785 to do a quick intake. 
  • Distributing pre-packed boxes and as much fresh/frozen food as possible. 
  • Food is being given outside of our front doors. Please dress according to the weather. 
  • If you are housed, please bring in a bill that comes to your address that is dated/postmarked within the last 30 days (POA); if you don't have it physically but can show a digital copy, that is great!
  • Cannot make it in? You may ask a friend, family member, neighbor, social worker or family advocate to come in on your behalf. You can click here for a printable form. ​
  • SnowCap's Clothing Closet is available by appointment ONLY. To request a Clothing Closet appointment CLICK here. Please fill out the form; once you finish you will receive a text message to confirm the time and date of your appointment. 
  • ​​In response to COVID-19, we have  added extra visits. You are welcome to come to SnowCap up to two (2) times a month through February 2023.

Dates to Remember:
March 4, 2023 - Scouting for food. Cascade Pacific Council will collect food for the community and drop off at SnowCap, or other local food bank or pantries, throughout the greater Northwest. For a list of Drop Sites click here or contact your local Unit. How You can Help: 1) Fill a grocery bags with non-perishable food. 2) Staple a flyer onto the bag (click here for the flyer). 3) Leave the bag on your porch. Local Scouts will pick up your bag on the 1st Saturday in March (Please leave your bag out by 9 AM.) Scouts will deliver to SnowCap or other local food banks! 


April 15, 2023 - SnowCap Saturday Donation Drive-Thru, 17788 SE Pine St 10am-2pm 

June 3, 2023 - Summerplace Annual Shred Day, 9am-12pm, 2020 NE 150th Ave. Bring your sensitive material anda suggested donation ($5 or 5 cans of food) for SnowCap. We will send your papers through the shred truck for safe disposal of your sensitive materials.

Open Hearts, Open Hands

 Food assistance is available at SnowCap's pantry every weekday. 

To visit the pantry, you will need to bring proof of address (POA) that is dated within the last 30 days.  Usually, this is a utility bill or other postmarked mail received by the person at the address they list on their application.  Please bring your own bags or boxes. 

SnowCap serves people who live east of 82nd and within Multnomah County, so POA is required for every visit.

  • SnowCap is located behind The Rockwood Center (formerly called the Rockwood United Methodist Church) at 17805 SE Stark.  
  • To visit the pantry, enter using the west driveway from Stark Street.
